Domestic Abuse Strategy Consultation
In 2024/25, we commissioned a Strategic Needs Assessment of domestic abuse in Milton Keynes, to understand better our local picture, what support people who had experienced domestic abuse were receiving and how it had helped them, and what else we need to do to make sure that Milton Keynes is a city where domestic abuse is not tolerated and where everyone can expect healthy and fulfilling relationships.
The findings from this needs assessment have informed our draft Domestic Abuse Strategy, which sets out our priorities for 2025-28 to tackle domestic abuse, and what we will do to achieve these priorities. We also consulted extensively with people who have lived experience of domestic abuse, the professionals and services working with them, and other partners such as Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Integrated Care Board and the Police, to ensure that survivors' voices and best practice underpin all our commitments.
We are pleased to present our draft for final consultation, and would value feedback from partners, stakeholders and members of the public to refine the Strategy and ensure we are taking the right actions for our residents.
Please complete this short survey by 31 October 2025 to have your say. After this date, the final Strategy will be published on the MK Together website.
