LADO – Allegations and concerns about people who work with children

Worried about a person in a position of trust?  If you are worried about someone who is working with a child or young person in Milton Keynes (in terms of safeguarding) please contact the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) on 01908 253169 or 01908 253170 for advice or to make a referral. (Out of hours service can be contacted on 01908 265545.)

Did you know? You can contact the Milton Keynes Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) to discuss your concerns before making a referral – 01908 254300.

CONTACTING the Local Authority Designated Officer  (LADO)

  • Staff should request a consultation or make referrals to the LADO via
  • Or by ringing the Safeguarding Business Support on 01908 254300.

In the event that the LADO is not available, the LADO role is always covered by other Safeguarding Service team members, who will be contactable through the same methods. Business Support will be able to advise.

If you need to make a referral, you will need to complete a  LADO notification form and send it to the LADO inbox as above.
